For International Students

Guangxi University of Information Engineering (GUIE) is a public higher vocational institution offering three-year full-time programs. It is hosted by the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, directed by the Guangxi Education Department, and administrated by Guangxi Open University. GUIE has two campuses—Wuxiang and Dongbao Campus, with good transportation facilities. GUIE has set up 5 schools with 21 majors: School of BNSS and Communication, School of Intelligent Manufacturing, School of Computer and Artificial Intelligence, School of Digital Art and Communications, and School of Digital Economy and Management. There are about 8000 full-time students in GUIE every year.

Featured by information engineering, GUIE attaches great importance to the integration of production with education. With fine resources from schools and enterprises, it conducts in-depth cooperation with domestic leading enterprises in specialty building, course development, teaching team construction, and job recommendation. In this respect, GUIE creates a running pattern of cooperating with enterprises to jointly revitalize industries. Besides, it trains new-type talents with knowledge and skills in both modern industry and traditional industry by orienting to national strategies like the Belt and Road Initiative, Made in China 2025 Initiative, and Construction and Development of China-ASEAN Information Harbor, which guarantees student development and future employment with a higher salary.

III. Requirements for Enrollment

1. Graduates from high schools or secondary vocational and technical schools under the age of 25.

2. A certificate of Level 3 of HSK is required. If not, please apply for one semester learning of the Chinese language at the university.

IV. Required Documents

V. Time for Application

1. For Chinese learning, applications can be made at any time in the whole year.

2. For diploma programs, applications shall be made before September every year.

VI. Accommodations and Application

 1. The international student dormitories are equipped with a bathroom, electric water heater, air-conditioner, washing machine, water dispenser，

hairdryer and Wi-Fi. 4 persons a room.

2. The student needs to fill in the Application Form for the Dormitory and pay for the fees for living, electricity, water, food and other daily-use articles.

3. The student needs to purchase insurance and apply for a resident permit.

VII. Facilities and Scholarship

1. All the facilities such as the library, sports ground, labs, dining hall etc. on campus are accessible to international students.

2. The university offers scholarships for excellent international students.
